“Will has been tackling our big garden for almost a year. In just a few hours a week he has transformed it from a jungle to a varied, interesting and lovely garden. Although it was a mature garden it was neglected and totally out of control. A real wilderness in parts. His work involved some labour intensive clearing of impenetrable areas of brambles and weeds to make way for new planting. We have steep banks, rocky areas, shady areas, very shady areas, and walled areas. Will has sourced unusual plants at our request but mostly suggested suitable flowering plants and shrubs to complement the existing plants. A keen amateur gardener for many years, Will first started gardening professionally in 2013 and launched W Hall Gardens in 2016. Will aims to use his horticultural knowledge to help his customers get the best from their gardens; he holds an RHS Level 2 Diploma in the Principles and Practices of Horticulture and is a member of The Gardeners Guild. When not gardening professionally, Will works on his own allotment where he grows both vegetables and flowers.

Will aims to minimise the environmental impact of his work. All his tools (apart from lawnmower) are battery powered which reduces noise and emissions in the garden. A fully organic service is available, but for customers who require chemical weed control Will has the appropriate licence and training to carry this out with the minimum environmental impact. Will does not use systemic pesticides (including neonicotinoids) due to their impact on bees and insects; he uses a range of effective organic techniques instead.
